One dual-color filament. Three very different ways to catch the light.

The site’s operator printed these three objects using OVV3D Silk Dual Color filament: a ghost, a faceted vase, and a custom-designed, full-size NBA Jam basketball display. The photos show pink/purple and blue tones across the surfaces. These are observations of these projects, not a rating of every OVV3D product.

The display images below are AI-assisted background-removal edits of owner-supplied photographs. Original, unedited photos are linked beside each example so you can inspect the actual photographed finish. Objects are displayed at different scales.

A ghost with flowing folds

The ghost’s long curves show broad reflections, while the folds reveal darker blue areas alongside pink/purple highlights. In the supplied photographs, its appearance varies substantially as the view moves around the object. This makes it a useful example for understanding why a single front view cannot show the whole effect.

A vase with a faceted surface

The vase places many small faces next to one another. Bright facets, dark recesses, and the smooth rim give the colors different surfaces to work across. Some photographed views appear predominantly pink/purple; others emphasize blue. Lighting also affects the appearance, so these images are examples rather than calibrated color samples.

This is presented as a decorative print. We have not tested whether the vase holds water without leaking.

A custom NBA Jam basketball display

The operator custom-designed this full-size basketball display to sit on top of an Arcade1Up NBA Jam arcade machine. Raised lettering, basketball grooves, and a broad curved surface create a different look from either the ghost or vase.

The original photos also show visible layer lines and variations around the raised details. They document a real hobby print, including its imperfections. This is a decorative personal project, not a playable basketball or an official branded product offered for sale here.

What these projects tell us—and what they do not

They illustrate how geometry and viewing angle change the appearance of a dual-color silk print. They do not establish comparative strength, the ideal print speed, or a success rate. Exact spool color names, temperatures, layer heights, and print times have not been recorded for this page, so we do not invent them.

The operator uses a Snapmaker 2.0 A350T. For your own printer, start with the exact spool’s instructions and use a small sample before a long print. Our settings guide explains a controlled calibration workflow.
